Digby and the Lullaby
There is something undeniably captivating about Digby and the Lullaby. Perhaps it’s their introspective honesty and uncomplicated melodies, or perhaps it’s the fact that their journey as a singer-songwriter duo swept them off their own feet and down the aisle. Most fans and critics, however, think it’s simply that these two complement each other perfectly
From Cape Town to New York, Rouchelle Hubsch (on piano and vocals), and Darren Peens (on guitar and vocals) have cast their indie-folk spell on audiences everywhere. Digby and the lullaby have a flair for intimate performances, and single out the theatre as their favourite place to play.
Their live performances to date include shows at Kirstenbosch, The Chaplin in Port Elizabeth, Googies in New York, The Rhumbelow Theatre, Durban, Potters Place Jeffreys Bay, The Cash Store Port Elizabeth and for three years running: the prestigious Hilton Arts Festival in Durban.
They also scooped a Standard Bank Ovation Award at the 2014 National Arts Festival in Grahamstown.
Graham Ward (drummer, Paul McCartney, Tom Jones, Ray Charles) puts it best however, when he says, “The joy of hearing these two stays with you long after you leave.”
We are so blessed to have Darren and Rouchelle come and share in a time of ministry with us on Sunday 10 July at 18h00.
Don’t miss out on this special time!
